Trade Account Terms

These Trade Account Terms (“Terms”) apply to all customers applying for and operating
a Trade Account with Ocean Air Marine.

By submitting a Trade Account Application or placing orders under a Trade Account, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

To qualify for a Trade Account, applicants must:

  • Operate a registered business in Australia
  • Provide valid ABN and business details
  • Operate within the refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical, marine, or related industries
  • Agree to provide trade references if requested

Approval of trade accounts is at the sole discretion of Ocean Air Marine.

Account Types

Ocean Air Marine may offer:

• Trade Cash Account

Payment due at checkout or prior to dispatch.

• Trade Credit Account (if applicable)

Credit terms are subject to approval and separate credit conditions.

Credit accounts may be suspended or cancelled at any time for overdue balances or misuse.

Pricing

Approved trade customers receive access to trade pricing across eligible products.

Trade pricing:

  • May vary by product category
  • May change without notice
  • May differ from retail pricing shown to general customers

Special promotions or discounts may be offered at Ocean Air Marine’s discretion.

Orders

Orders placed using a Trade Account:

  • Must be submitted by an authorised person from your business
  • Will be treated as confirmed purchase orders
  • Cannot be cancelled once dispatched or if the order is a special-order item

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason.

Special Order Items

Special-order or supplier-only products:

  • May require upfront payment
  • Cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty
  • May incur additional freight fees
  • May have extended lead times

Quotes for special-order freight will be provided where applicable.

Payment Terms

Unless otherwise specified:

Trade Cash Accounts:

Payment is required prior to dispatch or collection.

Trade Credit Accounts:

Payment terms will be listed in your approval documentation (e.g., 7 or 30 days EOM).

Late or overdue accounts may result in:

  • Suspension of credit
  • Removal of trade pricing
  • Additional fees or recovery charges
  • Referral to a debt collection agency

Customers are responsible for all costs associated with debt recovery.

Freight & Delivery

Shipping for trade customers follows our Shipping Policy.

Trade customers may also:

  • Arrange their own courier
  • Collect from our warehouse
  • Request consolidated shipments

Risk of goods passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.

 Returns & Refunds

Trade customers are subject to our Returns
& Refund Policy

Key points:

  • No returns for change of mind unless approved in writing
  • No returns on cut lengths, consumables, electrical components or special orders
  • Restocking fees may apply (up to 20%)
  • Items must be unused and in original packaging

Faulty items must follow manufacturer warranty procedures.

Warranty

Products purchased under a Trade Account include manufacturer warranties as detailed in our Warranty Policy.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Misuse or damage
  • Consumables
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty assessments may require the item to be returned before credit or replacement is issued.

Account Misuse

Trade Accounts may be suspended or cancelled if:

  • Payments are overdue
  • Misuse or fraudulent activity is detected
  • Business details cannot be verified
  • Repeated return/warranty claims suggest improper
    installation or misuse
  • Account terms are violated in any way

Suspension of trade pricing does not remove liability for outstanding balances.

Confidentiality

Trade pricing, discounts and account terms are confidential and must not be shared with third parties, competitors or retail customers.

Ocean Air Marine may disclose account information only where required by law.

Changes to Trade Terms

We may update these Trade Account Terms at any time.

Updated versions will be posted on our website and apply immediately to all trade customers.

Continuation of account use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ocean Air Marine is not liable for:

  • Loss of profit
  • Downtime or labour costs
  • Consequential or indirect losses
  • Delays caused by freight carriers
  • Incorrect installation by third parties

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.

Termination of Account

You may request to close your Trade Account at any time, provided all outstanding balances are paid.

Ocean Air Marine may terminate or suspend
an account without notice if:

  • Terms are breached
  • Payment issues occur
  • Fraudulent activity is suspected

Termination does not remove liability for unpaid invoices.
